The Design Story

Sunbonnet's medallion print is the collection's most structured offering, a print that sits at the intersection of a classic spot and a traditional floral, with the medallion format giving it more presence than a simple scatter. Heather Briggs used the cream dotted border on each medallion to echo the embroidery-stitch details found elsewhere in the collection, tying the range together visually. The warm salmon-coral ground reads as lively without being overpowering, and the evenly spaced layout means the print behaves predictably across pieced blocks.
