The Design Story
Adelaide’s Song B offers the same botanical richness as the A colourway but with the saturation pulled back to something softer and more restrained. The palette shift from coral and periwinkle to dusty rose and blue-grey changes the mood completely: A has brightness and energy, while B has a quieter, almost vintage quality that suits a different kind of quilt entirely. The meandering stems and layered motifs, flowers, fruit, birds, and seed pods, are all still present, and the ivory ground keeps everything from reading too heavy. On Liberty Lasenby cotton, the softer palette still carries its detail all the way to the finest drawn lines. We brought this colourway in for quilters who want the complexity of Adelaide’s Song but in a palette that sits alongside cream, blush, and grey-toned fabrics.
