Based on a fabric sample discovered in an archival Liberty silk book dating from the 1880s, Garden Silhouette’s small monochrome floral was redrawn in-house and designed to maintain the charmingly uneven ink distribution along its outline.
The designers were informed by the cabinets of curiosities discovered within many of London’s museums, celebrating the natural and manmade treasures found within.
Richly decorative elements of textiles, plasterwork and precious objects discovered within historic country houses also provided a wealth of visual inspiration.
