The Design Story
Originally hand-painted for Liberty in the 1990s, Ricardo captures the wild, untamed feel of an English garden in early spring. Rather than a tightly packed ditsy, the Liberty Design Studio arranged these slender stems and nodding irises with generous space between motifs. Screen printed at Liberty's Italian mill on Lasenby cotton, the warm terracotta and peach-pink tones offer a quiet, romantic warmth that bridges traditional reproduction fabrics and modern pastels effortlessly.
