Part 13 Mystery Hexagon Quilt 2026
For those who want just a little bit more stitching time, welcome to Part 13 of the 2026 Mystery hexagon Quilt! This final part is all about adding those optional borders to perfectly frame your hexagon quilt and give it a grand finish.
What to do next
If you are happy with the size of your quilt you can leave the quilt as it is and quilt it. Once quilted you can then decide whether to trim the quilt edges straight and bind or bind all the angled edges.
Option Add Borders
You can applique the completed quilt top onto a border. This method maintains all the angled shapes of the quilt. You then have the option to add additional borders if required.

Alternatively, trim away all the angled edges and add some straight borders.

Whether you're adding these extra borders now or saving them for later, thank you so much for joining us on this journey! The English Paper Piecing community is a vibrant, global family of creative and supportive makers, and we hope you loved every single stitch of this project.
We have absolutely loved seeing your progress photos on Instagram and in our Facebook group.
Now it’s time for the best part, lay your quilt out, snap a photo, and share your beautiful finish with the world!
