Sarah's Story 1830-1850 began with three antique quilts from Betsy Chutchian's collection dating to the 1830s and 1840s. Betsy paired those historic prints with the story of Sarah Josepha Hale, the influential editor of Godey's Lady's Book, whose writing helped shape American home life for decades. The result is a collection rich in reproduction prints, offering quilters a genuine connection to the fabrics, colours and patchwork traditions of the nineteenth century.
