Mystery Hexagon Quilt Part 9

Welcome to the Part 9 of our Mystery Hexagon Quilt!

I am really enjoying looking at everyone version of the quilt on social media and would like to thank everyone for your kind words about this QAL and for sharing it with your crafty friends! It is lovely to see that there are still new people joining in at this stage as a result of all your beautiful work!

We will turning our hexagon shape into a rectangle and this part is the start of that process


This fortnight we will be making 2 different blocks.


Block 1 and Block 2 as shown below

Hexagon Requirements


Colour Values Reference

D - Dark

M/D - Medium Dark

L/M - Light Medium

L- Light


You will need to make the following

60 Light Medium Hexagons

Tools Needed

Sewline Fabric Glue Pen

Sewing Needles

Thread


Follow the diagram below to assemble Block 1 and make 4.

Each block requires the following

3 Light Medium Hexagons


Sew a row of 2 Light Medium Hexagons together

Then add another Light Medium Hexagon to the top


Follow the diagram below to assemble Block 2 and make 8.

Each block requires the following

6 Light Medium Hexagons


Sew a row of 3 Light Medium Hexagons together

Sew a row of 2 Light Medium Hexagons together

Then add another Light Medium Hexagon to the top





Joining Part 9

Use the diagram below as a guide for joining these 12 Part 9 pieces to the Centre Part.

Watch the orientation of your quilt for placement.

These are to be added to the top and bottom of the quilt not to the sides.

Here is my quilt so far

I chose to make these blocks all the same fabric re-using my green fabric from the middle.
