Welcome to the Part 13 of our Mystery Hexagon Quilt!
This is the Final part of the Quilt that involves Hexagons.
This fortnight we will be making the final rows for each of the 4 corners.
We will be making 5 single rows of hexagons.
I have provided instructions for the fabric values I used however you can make these sections with whatever fabrics you have left. It is certainly a great way to use up prepared hexagons.
Have a play with your fabrics and have fun!
Colour Values Reference
D - Dark
M/D - Medium Dark
L/M - Light Medium
You will need to make the following
20 Light Hexagons
48 Medium Dark Hexagons
32 Dark Hexagons
Sewline Fabric Glue Pen
Row 1 - 1 Dark Hexagon
Row 2 - 3 Medium Dark Hexagons
Row 3 - 5 Light Hexagons
Row 4 - 7 Dark Hexagons
Row 5 - 9 Medium Dark Hexagons
Sew all 5 rows together.
The orientation is very important for them to fit.
Sew 2 of each orientation
Joining Part 13
Use the diagram below as a guide for joining these 4 Rows to the Centre Part.
Watch the orientation of your rows for placement.
These are to be added to the corners of the quilt.
Top Left and Bottom Right Top Right and Bottom Left
Here is my quilt completed for Part 13
If your quilt is a sufficient size after Part 13, then congratulations your quilt is complete!
