Free Mystery Hexagon Quilt Part 3

Welcome to Part 3 of our Hexagon Mystery Quilt!

Lets begin

Hexagon Requirements
Colour Values Reference
D - Dark
M/D - Medium Dark
L/M - Light Medium
L- Light
You will need to make the following
6 Light Hexagon
48 Light/Medium Hexagons
42 Dark Hexagons
Tools Needed
Sewline Fabric Glue Pen
Sewing Needles
Thread
Follow the diagram below to assemble the block. Make 6 Blocks
Sew 6 Light/Medium hexagons around a light hexagon to make a hexagon flower
Sew a Light/Medium hexagon to opposite sides of the hexagon flower
Sew 7 dark hexagons to the bottom the the piece
Join Part 3 To the Quilt
Use the diagram below as a guide to sew in the 6 Part 3 Pieces. Remember to bend your papers to line up your seams.

You can now remove all the Part 2 papers and any left in from Part 1.
Helpful Tip
Having trouble removing your papers? This usually happens if you use too much glue when sticking the fabric to the papers. This is common when you first start out. As you get more experience gluing you tend to have a lighter hand with the glue!
To help get your papers out press your hexagons on the wrong side with the iron to soften the glue, this will help you get them out. This will also remove any folds in your papers which helps when using them a second or third time.
Be careful not to get glue on your iron, I usually place a piece of baking paper between my papers and iron just to be safe. Do not use Steam.
